Neil Gray

Neil was a member of the Hammars Hill board during the planning and construction phases of the project before leaving to take up a position with the Co-operative Bank. Neil spent four and a half years working in the Renewable Energy and Asset Finance department at the Co-Operative Bank and lead a number of wind and hydro power transactions across Scotland working with a diverse range of project owners to bring about strong projects. Having been part of a team successfully overseeing the sale of part of the Renewable Energy load book, Neil left the Co-operative Bank to become a Commercial Manager with Close Brothers Leasing, now a major lender to the wind, hydro and solar sectors in the UK. Neil oversees lending to projects in the £1-30 million loan bracket and brings experience in commercial negotiation, wind energy project operation and finance to the board table. Neil holds a law degree from Edinburgh University and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland.
