Alistair Gray

Alistair Gray is a finance graduate and Chartered Accountant. Alistair has extensive business experience in a broad spread of industries as an accountant, finance director and board member. He has held a practicing certificate from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland since 1984 and provides accountancy, business and taxation services to a number of local businesses. He specialises in providing entrepreneurial business consultancy, and has extensive experience in the commercial, operational and financial modelling of renewable energy projects. He has served as a board member of Highlands and Islands Enterprise and was Chairman of the audit committee for three years. In 1995 he was appointed to the board of the European Marine Test Centre based in Stromness with specific responsibility for finance.
In 2006 Alistair became involved as an investor and finance director of Hammars Hill Energy. From early 2006 the board worked together to take the project through planning consent, project finance, construction and commercial operation. The project became operational in November 2010. Alistair took over as Chairman of the board in June 2014 on the retirement of Richard Jenkins.
